'Mon the armies of melody

About Me

It was well after 2am as the lights went down on the main stage of Edinburgh Oxjam 2006. The venue had been prematurely ready for bed 45 minutes earlier, but the modest crowd had been sparked into life by something a bit special. The headine band had entered a room which felt very much half full of weary subdued gig goers, but just over half an hour of Granger’s infectious melodies and rock n’ roll sensibility left the room feeling…well …electric. Long standing followers of the band all agreed that the Edinburgh trio had truly arrived. A year on Granger have been surprisingly quiet playing just a handful of gigs since, however they are now set to return and according to the band, set to return ten fold. With a brand new revitalised set, featuring their strongest songs to date, the Granger calender will be filling up in 2008 and I advise you not to miss them. Work will soon begin on recording of their debut single to be followed closely by an EP release and I for one will be adding it to the front row of my collection. Speaking to the lads, you cannot help but sense a genuine air of new found confidence and excitement surrounding the band. A band this excited about themselves has to be a band worth being excited about!

Exams and the return of the wall of sound!

We've been out of the public eye for a good wee while now but be under no illusion, we have been far from dormant.  While you looked away we've been writing new material, which is sounding better...
