Info
The Plan For Tonight are an alternative rock band based in Newcastle Upon Tyne although the only Geordie in the band is Christina, with a German, an Australian and an Irishman on board to spice things up a bit.
The band initially formed in July 2006 but the current lineup has only been together since November 2006. Since then, they have been working hard on perfecting a unique sound and the amount of hard work and effort that is put into the band is starting to show.
With such a wide range of influences, from very different musical backgrounds they have created a very distinct sound. Not ones for messing around, before a gig was even played, they hibernated into Base HQ recording studio located in the city centre of Newcastle to record a three track demo.
The past few months has seen the band’s popularity sky-rocket, with a dedicated following of fans making every effort to see the band live at every given opportunity.
In such a short space of time, the band have already achieved more than they could have ever hoped for and just recently they opened the Oxjam Newcastle Festival at Time’s Square, picking up new fans along the way and keeping the existing fans happy with a blistering set of their unusual brand of alternative indie rock.
Within the coming months, the band plan to get back into the studio to record an EP which will hopefully see the light of day in early 2008, but if you can’t wait that long then you will have to get yourself along to one of the live shows to see what all the fuss is about!
