Welcome to our MySpace! Yay! Here's who we are:
We are Saddleback College's Gay+Straight Alliance.
Promoting equality and understanding,
we represent a healthy mix of gay and straight students,
not particularly leaning one way or the other. Thankfully.
Balance is important to a GSA
or else it just becomes a GA or an SA and loses a lot of its effect and purpose.
Saddleback has had a few incarnations of the GSA over the years,
and we're simply the latest.
We officially began at the beginning of the Fall 2005 semester
and we plan to continue for as long as possible.
We've begun to organize some great activities
to bring more attention to the GSA and its important message.
Things should be working out really well for us really soon. =j
We hope to see you there

My Interests

Day of Silence Rally :: April 26, 2008
March to Los Angeles City Hall protesting injustices!
15-year-old Lawrence King was murdered at school on February 12, 2008.
Friends say the reason was his
sexual orientation and gender expression.
Make sure Lawrence is not forgotten.

DAY OF SILENCE, April 18, 2007: The Day of Silence is an annual event held to commemorate and protest anti-LGBT bullying, harassment and discrimination in schools. Students and teachers nationwide will observe the day in silence to echo the silence that LGBT and ally students face everyday. In it's 11th year, the Day of Silence is one of the largest student-led actions in the country.

I'd like to meet:

We're interested in friending open-minded accepting individuals. Anyone is welcome to our club.
