About Me

On the internet at urbanradionation.com We promote community oriented action and events by urban radio that sincerely uplifts the community. We keep an eye on legislation that suppresses diversity in media ownership, local news and content. We blast those "we got to do better" moments on radio and in the music industry that negatively effect the community.
We feel that the current state of urban radio does a poor job of being creative with their playlist. Especially programming to listeners between the ages of 30 to 45 years old who grew up listening to great Black radio. Those listeners who now are turning to the Internet and satellite radio as their sole source of music entertainment much like their under 30 listening counterparts. The music player is a sample of music that simply works for those who still love hip-hop and enjoy the newer sound of R&B and Soul music.
Take a listen to this Hip-Hop, Soul and R&B music programming that is fresh, innovative and fly. An approach to urban music that is an alternative to stale, over-researched, and rigid playlists that dominate radio today. It's time for urban radio to do something different.
The website has the History of Black Radio information with photos and audio clips of the legendary DJ's like Frankie Crocker and Jocko Henderson.
We respect the grind that the on-air personalities and the program directors go through each day just to persevere in the current urban radio landscape.
