About Me

I am the new "hardest working man in radio". Or the craziest for working all the hours I do! If I didn't love what I do as much as I do, I wouldn't do it. Thinking back to my first radio I got from Black Santa in 1983, I was so amazed at how the "guy on the radio" would stop talking right when the singer started to sing. I still have tons of cassette tapes of songs I recorded off of the radio. If you're 16 years and younger, you don't know anything about that!! I also liked to record my voice back then and play it back over and over again. Ahhh, the sweet sound of my own voice....had to be destined for a brilliant radio career! It all started in Des Moines, Iowa. As a senior in high school, I had a friday night show. After a couple of years and a couple of semesters of college, I bolted to Phoenix and got my first pro gig at KKFR. There isn't a dollar amount that can come close to that three year experience there. I put on my big boy shoes and took off to Fort Wayne, Indiana to do afternoon's at WJFX. Two years of winter was enough! Back to Phoenix and KZZP in 2002, where I've ever since!!You wanna know my personal busness....don't cha? Once upon a time, the thought of online dating was crazy to me. Why would anyone do that? I guess now I can answer my own question because that's how I met my wife. Yes, it was on myspace and I still have the original conversation in my inbox from February 14, 2007. We went to Vegas one year later and become man and wife! My opinion is still kinda the same about dating online if you're dumb. You have to be smart. I knew my wife wasn't a 12 year old trying to trap me because we had meaningful chats. We clicked. I knocked her up recently (that's an inside joke) and we're expecting a little one in December. That'll make five children total. She has two girls and I have a two from previous experiences.I'm done! Since my wife is a teacher, I'll have her proof read this. I might mess around with the blogs again, I enjoyed writing this bio. Oh yeah, I love Jesus!

Your secret song

I was listening to an old CD I burned and it had a lot of songs that I wouldn't tell a lot of folks I like. Then I started to wonder if I'm the only one. What are some of your secret songs that you li...
