..Six dollars and seven teen cents! it's pop so what.............. It all started in the summer of 1990 in a city named Corpus Christi. Formely known as 80 proof. 6.17 was around during the time when skin heads ran bald and free. The night Jawbreaker played at big's house 80 proof was struggling with a singer. 80 wanted to drift more pop than rock. Satan the singer for 80 proof went his seperate ways and 80 proof (Kelly,rick,adrian,mike) asked big to tryout.* BIG loves POP ya! the Pop Tarts were born . Kelly (now in * Sweet Daddy ) Rick now in and around the closet. text here Adrian and Ruben was the line up. In 1991 Mike had other priorities and had to leave the band . The tarts decided on a new name|6.17| 6.17 brought lil Ruben to the crew to replace cMike. His bass lines were FAT and full of cream cheese. In 91 Kelly and lil Ricky wanted to get more agressive. They went and formed FESTUS with hale (now in MORE FIRE).
Stuck without a lead guitarist and drummer. 6.17 was looking grim.
Ruben and BIG tried out a few drummers Todd from happy meal now in (now in * Right Turn Clyde Big the only member left called on his brother (Lilbig now* Laughing Stock ) and cousin(Green Dave) NOw in the credits. to keep the PoP saga AliVe!
Throught the years Big and little still worked on songs. Many bands were done on the side like Murder Suicide
