About Me

Hello, hi!I live in London, although I'm originally from Halifax, West Yorkshire in the north of England. I have a sister and a brother , and parents who all still live in the north.I have a degree in media, because I always wanted to be a film director since I was a kid. After less than a year working for an audio post producion house in Soho, I changed my mind! No money, long hours... and music was taking over my life...Whilst I was at uni I got more into DJing. I've promoted nights at various venues in London, to varying degrees of success. The last was Makoomba at AKA/The End which ran for nearly a year from 2004-2005. I currently work for two of the best house labels on the planet, Reverberations and Wrong Recordings , managing the digital sides of the labels.Three years ago I started to practise a form of qigong meditation called Falun Gong which basically changed my life. I gave up drinking and smoking and I'm now a paradigm of health! ;-) The principles of this practice are deep and go ever-deeper. Practitioners of Falun Gong try to hold themselves to the values of Truthfulness, Benevolence and Tolerence in everything they do.This is why I feel so strongly about the terrible persecution of Falun Gong that has been happening in China since 1999 and is still going on today. How can such good people be tortured and killed when they just want to live healthy and positive lives? As a result, much of my life is devoted to exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. There are still many many people who don't know about what's really happening in China, including the Chinese. If you'd like to know more, go to www.faluninfo.net or www.falundafa.orgI still DJ here and there - if someone asks me, I will play. I play funky breaks, beats, downtempo, anything which catches my ear - and my ears are open. Check the blog section for a few mixes.I also edit the Entertainment section of the marvellous Epoch Times newspaper in the UK, which has been instrumental in exposing human rights abuses in China, and is now the world's most widespread newspaper.

My Interests

I try to live by the principles of Truthfulness, Benevolence and Tolerence in everything I do and practise exercises which clear my mind and purify my body. There is an illegal persecution of Falun Gong happening in China. Almost 3000 practitioners have been tortured to death by the Communist Party, with hundreds of thousands in forced labour camps - though these figures may be much higher. It has recently come to light that practitioners have had their organs harvested to be sold overseas for profit. Human rights lawyer David Matas and Canadian ex-MP David Kilgour have written an extensive report: organharvestinvestigation.netPLEASE help to stop the persecution... visit www.fofg.org and sign the petition!
