The loud distorted guitar is in your face, but so is the small choir; there are monster riffs but there are also soft piano phrases. It is like nothing mainstream, yet it has a mainstream quality to it. Imagine if AC/DC was the backup band for Howlin Wolf. With lyrics that hit close to home and unusual phrasings which catch the ear, Urban Preacher is like nothing you have ever experienced. Largely the creation of Jordan Safer (MOKSA, Single Malt Sunrise, Rising Action), Urban Preacher relies heavily on the blues influence of the 1940s as well as arena rock guitar. Here we go...
