"On Little Foot Long Foot’s debut EP, Just About Broke, the combination of Joan Smith’s deadly vocals with Isaac Klein’s tight snare rolls results in seven songs of passionate blues-rock...The sound makes you feel like you’re trudging through a dusty southern town with a guitar strapped to your back and a revolver sitting on your hip, looking for trouble" - National Post
"From a light Billie Holiday to a Dylan feel, Joan's voice paired with the upbeat, but not irritatingly so, music is nothing short of magic." - Viruszine.com
"Joan Smith's voice will knock you on your ass if you're not ready for it." - Midnight Poutine
Little Foot Long Foot was born out of necessity and practicality. While the two piece band was originally formed as a classic rock tribute act, front-woman Joan Smith soon accepted her inability to shred rad solos and they made the obvious choice, originals. Settling on a gritty garage-rock sound, the band began working on the material that would make up their debut EP, Just About Broke. With a sound that channels Gun Club and The Gossip equally, Just About Broke swaggers and sways with driving beats and thick guitars. Centered around Smith's powerful vocals, they deliver the winding riffs of "Thank You" with as much confidence as the longing country rock of "Declaration." Over the EP's seven tracks, the band continues to spread this range, showing not only a penchant for powerful instrumental attacks, but also well written songs that embody all the best elements of their influences. After barelling through the East Coast to wide acclaim in the summer of 2008, Little Foot Long Foot are looking forward to recording a new album, touring their home province of Ontario, and sounding larger than their instrumentation generally allows.

Sounds Like: THE NATIONAL POST SAYS....
"When a band contains only two members, it makes it easy for the listener to distinguish the talents of each player. On Little Foot Long Foot’s debut EP, Just About Broke, the combination of Joan Smith’s deadly vocals with Isaac Klein’s tight snare rolls results in seven songs of passionate blues-rock. Smith wails through Marriage Ain’t a Promise like it’s an aural punch in the face, and Ego Song will urge you to drive quicker than you probably should... the Toronto twosome manages to capture a distinct tone with Smith’s dirty distortion. The sound makes you feel like you’re trudging through a dusty southern town with a guitar strapped to your back and a revolver sitting on your hip, looking for trouble." Sean D. Fitzgerald, National Post
