The Hogs

High-energy Irish music from Connemara

About Me

The Hogs were formed by Michael Casey, Kieran Coyne & Noel Coyne – three cousins from Connemara, a picturesque area in the west of Ireland. All of them have been playing music for many years, have worked with various musicians and performed, individually or as a band, in various pubs, clubs, festivals and other venues in their homeland as well as all over the world, including the USA, Russia, China, Canary Islands or Scandinavia. Lately, they have become increasingly popular in the Czech Republic, where they recorded a critically acclaimed album "Vsem se nalejvá" ("Everybody’s Gonna Get a Drink") with the popular Czech songwriter / accordion player Václav Koubek. They had four successful tours there in 2007 and appeared on the Czech TV music show "Noc s Andelem". Their music has been described as "authentic, raw Irish" and as "traditional music at its best in high energy".
