What is normal anyway?

About Me

A long time resident of Arkansas, I love the scenery here and dislike most of the people. I'm always intrested in learning new things and having new experiences. I'm happily married with no desire to have biological children (and I don't want to hear about yours either...I'm enjoying my youth, thank you!). I'm not very active on Myspace, and mostly keep up with it for a few friends that haven't made it over to livejournal .

My Interests

alternative transportation, androgyny, anime, art, cannabis, carfree living, cats, civil liberties, coffee, conspiracy theories, cooking, cyberpunk, evolution, femenism, geneology, hedonism, human behaviour, interior design, old houses, parks, pedestrianism, pharmaceutical chemistry, philosophy, photography, posthumanism, public transportation, questioning all things, recycled design, road trips, rpgs, self improvement, shopping, sketching, swimming, tea, transhumanism, video games, walking, wine, world domination, writing

I'd like to meet:

Most people who are actually looking for intresting people on here and not just adding people for more numbers. I won't add your band if you're not going to play anywhere near me or a band I already know and like. I most likely won't add your company, and if I do and you advertise in my comments I'll delete you. I reserve the right to delete you at any time for spamming annoying crap or if you just get on my nerves.

Music:

I'm not very passionate about music. I enjoy it, but I've not really taken the time to develop a deep intrest in it. I listen to mostly rock, and if you're the sort of person who judges people by the bands they like as to how "cool" they are, then here are some I enjoy: VAST, Incubus, The Smashing Pumpkins, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle, Jefferson Airplane, Cat Power, Leah Andreone, Ani DiFranco, Fiona Apple, Hole, Porcupine Tree, Placebo, The Section Quartet.I'll pretty much go see anyone live if it's cheap or free, as I really dig the energy of a live show even if I don't care for the music.

Movies:

dark comedy, drama, foreign films, psycho thrillers, classics

Television:

American and Japanese animation, stand-up comedy, educational programming (PBS, History programs, Discovery Programs, Penn and Teller's Bullshit), cooking shows, design shows (interior and fashion), news

Books:

I enjoy most books, but I haven't been doing a whole lot of reading lately.

Heroes:

Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Darwin, Penn Jillete, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Cass Elliot
