Kimberly Blaker is editor and coauthor of The Fundamentals of Extremism: the Christian Right in America. Published initially in the United States, it has now been translated into Arabic and published in the Middle East.
She is a social advocate, particularly for the civil liberties of minority groups, and staunch supporter of the separation of church and state. She has lectured around the country on the dangers of Christian fundamentalism, particularly in relation to women's issues.
Her commentaries and former column, The Wallâ„¢ (TheWall-OnChurchAndState), have appeared in numerous news publications including Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, San Francisco Examiner, and Los Angeles Daily Journal.
In addition, Kimberly has been published in the national Complete Woman Magazine, Playgirl, The Humanist, Toward Freedom, and Liberty Magazine. Excerpts of her work are also published by Bowdoin College, Maine, for use in a Women's Studies course and by CNED in France.
She is a syndicated writer and has been published in more than 150 parenting and women's publications throughout the US and Canada. The Fundamentals of Extremism is based on her award-winning research paper, "Christian Fundamentalism: A Growing Danger."
