Mourning

Pre-production songs up!

About Me

The dawn of a new Mourning begins to rise in the toxic skies of New Jersey. Rising out of the ashes are founding members Bill Pope and Mike Connors, both coming from different genres of metal. Bill coming from the NJ based Black Metal band Bloodthrone and Mike hailing from the OH based Death Metal band Dislimb. Starting back in the late winter of 2003, songs were slowly structured, but never really taken seriously because of the lack of musicians, especially drummers in NJ. But, this didn't slow them down. Soon, Mourning already had three songs completed and were going to use a drum machine to fill the missing link. After a long discussion, they had agreed to place an ad for a drummer in the local muscians newspaper before taking definate action in using a drum machine.

J.J. Hrubovcak of the Death Metal band Divine Rapture answers the post to find out we know each other from previous bands. J.J. agrees to help fill in the void that Bill and Mike have patiently waited to come. With his recuiting, he has brought total life to each of the songs with his complete double bass and blasting snares beyond belief at the right moments.

Comprised of nuclear steam rolling rhythms, bone shattering harmonies, screams of the dying and growls of decaying bodies, Mourning will make sure that the resistance falls forever to ensure total mass destruction! Featuring current and former members of Bloodthrone, Dislimb and Divine Rapture, Mourning is out to see that mankind will see the dawn of a new embarking: Total damnation!!!!

Mourning sets out to bring a never-ending apocalyptic catastrophe to those who stand and oppose the new dawn......
