About Me

I keep myself a mystery, but I provide the clues. So the rest is up to you. I guess it all comes down to how curious you can be.
I am someone.
Young and hopeful.
Alive and breathing.
Imperfect.
Tries to stay optimistic at all cost.
Misses being on stage.
Live for moments.
Goal-oriented.
Can't relate to many people.
A little off-key.
Attracted to creativity.
Indulges in many forms of art.
Hot-tempered and stubborn.
Naturally sarcastic.
Gets high off of debates and intelligence.
Perverts and jerks are not my type of people.
Watches too many movies.
Craves for more "me" time.
Desires to go on more road trips.
Personal Thoughts on Myspace:
Usually replies back to myspace comments and emails,
Because I am not conceited,
nor do I think I am better than you,
Plus, I am a fast typer.
Otherwise, we are but equal people,
Unless you prove otherwise.
Will not personally meet up with anyone I do not know.
That's just creepy.
Spams like "I know the girls are lying"
or "Get a Victoria's Secret Card"
will be deleted.
Band promotion and party flyers
are decent if they show up ONLY once.
Rarely do I check bulletins.
Top 8 are meant for those who actually talk to me,
(what a concept)
and who I find stimulating and interesting.
Some are friends before myspace,
Some are friends I've known through myspace.
If you beg to be on there,
chances are you won't be.
I am someone's daughter.
My parent's presence is my most rockiest experience.
But I also love them more than anyone I've ever loved before.
Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until much later in life.
I was never a perfect child,
And they remind me of that all the time.
They put up with a lot.
However, with time...
I will repay them.
One way or another.
I am someone's girlfriend.
Been together for three years.
Making this my longest relationship.
For once, I'm not running away,
From the imperfections that I see,
in him as well as myself.
I'm not the type to skip from one guy to another.
Instead, I want to grow with what I have,
Rather then constantly plunging into something new.
The grass is brown on the other side,
For as long as I am still strong to stay in this.
I am someone's friend.
A few genuine friends are better than
drunken bitches always looking for a free drink
or a good lay at the bar.
There's more to life/friendships than the fucking bar scene.
And if you're offended,
then you must think this is about you. :)
Apparently, my idea of friendship is different.
I don't want to go out all the time.
I'm not into moochers.
I'm not into people who doesn't care when I'm depressed,
and push me aside by saying "just be happy".
People who only talk about themselves suck.
And please, don't sleep with other people's boyfriends to prove a point.
However, I'm into those who are interested in me as a person
and are interesting, motivational, inspiring beings themselves (has a brain and whatnot)
without caring about what I have (materialistic-wise) or what I can give you.
Because of my standards (as I am aware of it),
I only have a few friends.
But I'm ok with that.
I am someone's student.
I get asked why I'm still in college...
because I have a cosmetology license.
It's enough to make a living off of.
But I want more.
I'm still young...
And I thirst for knowledge in other areas.
It fills up my data bank.
I absorb information most people don't care about...
Like the consequences of smoking...
And that the leading cause of death in the U.S. is heart disease.
I'm kind of nerdy...
But I try not to look it.
Have a thing for philosophy.
Socrates is my favorite philosopher.
Plato followed after his footsteps...
So he isn't so bad either.
My writing is mostly decorated freewrites.
Despise math.
Wish I can pay someone to do my homework...
And my laundry...
And pay them to pay my bills...
Wishful thinking.
I probably went off-topic.
I am someone's hair stylist.
Been a part of me since I was 16.
Got my cosmetology license in 2003.
Favorite of mine is coloring...
(you can probably tell by my pictures)
But I do other cosmetology-related tasks as well.
Love the job.
Despise high-maintenance, bitchy clients.
Love the more appreciative one.
Their smile makes my job worthwhile.
I'm not really on myspace to advertise my work but for some time now, I've been getting messages from people who are interested in me doing their hair. If you are one of those, go ahead and privately email me on myspace where I'd be glad to give you the info you need to make this happen. Thank you to the people who have already visited me. Only serious people please. I am pretty good at detecting real and fake people. It will help if you are local or visiting the area.

Heroes:

"A day without laughter is a day wasted." -Charlie Chaplin
"I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an Emperor - that's not my business. I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone, if possible -- Jew, gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another; human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there's room for everyone and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful.
But we have lost the way.
Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.
The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women, and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people.
To those who can hear me I say, "Do not despair." The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass and dictators die; and the power they took from the people will return to the people and so long as men die, liberty will never perish.
Soldiers, don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you, enslave you, who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel; who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate; only the unloved hate, the unloved and the unnatural.
Soldiers, don't fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written, "the kingdom of God is within man" -- not one man, nor a group of men, but in all men, in you, you the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. You the people have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.
Then, in the name of democracy, let us use that power! Let us all unite!! Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give you the future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie! They do not fulfill their promise; they never will. Dictators free themselves, but they enslave the people!! Now, let us fight to fulfill that promise!! Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, to do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness. Soldiers, in the name of democracy, let us all unite!!!"
-Charlie Chaplin in movie, The Great Dictator
