I had a friend once describe me as a slave to pop culture. This is true...I move with the times...can associate with current trends, sayings, artists, etc...I'm addicted to fashion magazines and shopping. I could browse forever...doesn't matter if it's a clothing store, a walgreens, target, grocery store whatever! I just enjoy browsing! I need like 5 hours in a bookstore! haha! no, seriously. I'm big on coffeeshops, tiny bars and huge nightclubs. I love to walk around somewhere new by myself, whether it's a new city, small town, or a new street I've never been down before. I'm in love with the idea of love... falling in love... being in love...I think people are amazing, such incredible souls, so scattered and lost, so misdirected...and yet somehow love brings us all together...cliche? you bet. could it happen today? absolutely. Who knows, maybe that's why we feel so alone at times, to remind ourselves to find out who we are first, so that when love happens, we'll be ready...
The people I want to meet have essential manners when it matters most. They have a creative imagination, a wicked way with words and can spin a fairy tale out of the way we met. If you have "I love to laugh" in your profile, we might not have much in common. I'm more intersted in the person with an edge and a few dark secrets, hanging around in the the back of the room. They're not afraid to dish up some real dirt on themselves.
i just did this for the fun of it...hmm...interesting...

I listen to pretty much anything, it just depends on my mood. I love music and have it on pretty much all the time. My ipod never leaves my side! ;) I used to dj, so here is just a few of the genres i enjoy: house, tribal, hard house, drum and bass, punk, r&b, hip-hop, 80's metal and the hairband phenom, songs that'll make you rage as well as songs that make you cry. But I really love opera, jazz and classical piano anytime.
The Lost Boys
I love movies and the emotional ride they take you for. Here are just a few: joy luck club, the last emperor, crash, hero, farewell my concubine, fight club, crouching tiger, house of flying daggers, better luck tomorrow, shakespeare in love, romeo+juliet, fearless, a lot like love, serendipity, thomas crown affair (both versions), the boondock saints, green street hooligans, serenity, cheesy action, sci-fi, sappy drama (yeah, i can admit it!), stupid humor (i.e. old school, elf, wedding crashers!), horror (esp. asian horror), anime (anything by hayao miyazaki!), comic book movies, black and whites, audrey hepburn and marilyn monroe, jerry lewis and dean martin, three stooges crack me up!, mobster movies, great 80's movies! Some of my favs: Peter Pan, Franny and Zooey, Great Expectations (follow your dream), Siddhartha (so beautiful, so insightful), Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (just read it again), Lone Wolf and Cub (best samurai storybooks...thnx john!), the tao of pooh and many others...here are just some of the authors I admire: emerson, jd salinger, whitman, frost, thoreau, shelley, browning, bryant, wordsworth, kafka, dylan thomas, yeats, christina rossetti, keats, amy tan, terry brooks, ethan hawke (very fluid writing), hitomi kanehara, michael romkey, bret easton ellis, chuck palahnilk, frederick reiken, pam anderson, tim burton, natalie krinsky, nicholas sparks, frank miller, darcey steinke, anne rice, kazuo koike & goseki kojima, john grishim, and of course, shakespeare. As you can see, I'm a big fan of classic literature and poetry, there's nothing like a poem...spoken, written or sung...whether it's special and unique, or the poetry of day to day life...poetry makes us whole...
his Holiness the Dalai Lama, Christopher Reeve, the UNHCR, underdogs, people who follow the dream in their heart, Thich Nhat Hanh (vietnamese buddhist monk, poet, and nobel prize nominee). Oh, and the Buddha, and as we are all one and connected, you are probably my hero as well. "One's real life is often the life that one does not lead..." Confucius
