Stage Name: LinkzAndre AKA Linkz, Chinolinkz, Chinoman was born in Waterhouse, Kingston Jamaica on September 27, 1984 to Ann Marie , single mother of seven. Living in Waterhouse Kingston was no bed of roses; in fact it was plagued with poverty and violence; however, it is still home to Linkz. Linkz recalls "growing up in Waterhouse wasn’t easy, some will say its the ghetto but that’s home for me". Linkz is no stranger to the school system in Kingston, he went to Nanny Basic School, Dupont Primary School and Norman Manley High School. Throughout the years of schooling in Jamaica Linkz was active in the dancehall scene, between the age of nine and thirteen, Linkz was a DJ for Black Savage Sound. He started singing and performing at ten, moved to Canada at thirteen, and developed a passion for writing music at fifteen. Linkz quickly returned to Jamaica while attending Bluevale High school because of family related issues. Upon returning to Jamaica Linkz attended the Waterford Comprehensive High school while continuing to DJ for Black Savage Sound. Linkz then graduated High school and went directly into the work force as an employee for Answers For Children and Hope Gardens. Linkz returned to Canada in 2002 after realizing that he wanted to pursue his music career. He became a student at University Heights where he continued to perform at and around the Kitchener area. Linkz performed at Bluevale and Waterloo Collegiate Institute multicultural shows and Forest Heights pep rally. In 2003 Linkz decided to move out on his own, which was particularly difficult decisions because he had to undertake school and working part-time to support himself. Life at University heights is particularly memorable for Linkz because of his participation in the Canadian Student Leadership Conference (CSLC) which took place in Newfoundland. This experience taught linkz the characteristics of a good leader, which can now be accounted for his positive outlook on life. In 2004 Linkz recorded his first track “Sittin’ Here†by Belmont at Skinny’s studio in 2004, performed at high schools around Kitchener and also performed at Waterloo Idol. Linkz then joined his cousin and two artists whom he met at the studio, “Pelpa†and “Skeen Dawg†to create the Dancehall group Fraudless. Fraudless opened for the likes of Capelton, Cham, Beenie Man, Sizzla, Kardinal Official and Frank N Dank. Fraudless signed a one year contract with 2G productions; however, the group was dismantled after coming in contact with the hardships of being in the music industry. Since January 2007 Linkz and Skeen Dawg have reunited to create what is now known as LSD. LSD has opened for Beenie Man, Cham and JMAX in Montreal. LSD now has a song playing on CKUT in Montreal & Power 106 FM in Jamaica titled “inna di bed tonight†featuring JMAX.Myspace Layouts
