In June 2003, after getting through six consecutive auditions, JERMAIN landed himself in the TOP 30 in the competition. In addition to the press and media coverage that he received, he performed at a New York Yankees/Toronto Blue Jays baseball game at the Skydome (now called the Rogers Centre) in Toronto. The game took place July 2003; there were 40,000 people in attendance. In 2000 he was on the same bill as soul singer, Jill Scott and rapper, Mos Def at the Toronto Urban Music Festival. He was then selected to be on the same bill as gospel artist, Hezekiah Walker at the Ottawa Urban Music Festival. In 1997 he performed as an opening act for hip-hop diva Lil Kim at the Shock Nightclub in Toronto. In addition, his voice has been broadcast over various radio shows like Torontos 93.5FM, Ottawas Hot 89.9FM and Montreals 103.7FM. Aside from his work in Canada, he has traveled to various parts the United States of America and the Caribbean to perform, promote and network.In Summer 2002 his single, Longtime (award winning producer Marcus Kane) was released to radio, followed by No Girl in 2003 and most recently Tha Block (selected to be a part of a promotional compilation released by UMAC in January 2005). He was featured, along with Ann Curless of Expose fame, on a remake of the disco classic Heaven Knows, which was released in 2000 on Waako Records internationally. In the summer of 1998, another single titled, What Went Wrong? was released in Canada. It is the first track on the Magnum Opus CD compilation put together by Krescent Records. The single has been repeatedly featured on the television show Traders, and has received radio and club play. In 1995 a promotional CD single titled, I Cant Stop was released in Canada.JERMAIN MAXWELL has made a remarkable contribution to his community through his years of entertaining.
