Former artist/songwriter Victor Rosa , aka SANO-IN "The Rap Impresario" , is among the most widely known and respected events producer in NYC. In 2007 he launched MyLatinRoots , Inc.,( MLR ): a new company, producing concerts for Hip-Hop enthusiasts while embracing Latino heritage. His most popular series, LATIN CONNECT kicked off in 2002 at the world famous S.O.B’s nightclub featuring such artists as N.O.R.E, Notch, The Beatnuts, Joell Ortiz, Sean Price, Voltio, Dj Rob Swift, Buckshot, Jeru Da Damaja, Tony Touch, La Bruja, Triple Seis, Rock Steady Crew, 2-Mex, Lo Correcto, PR Terrorist (Dompachino), Thirstin Howl 3rd, Divine (of The DEY), A.D.O.R., Tonedeff & Pack FM, Akwid, Judiny, Shaabam Sahdeeq, Don Dinero, Malverde, Phantasm (Celladwellas), J.R.Writer & Brooklyn Academy to name a few. The company, which started out as a one-man army, marketing and promoting hip-hop events that included artists like Kanye West, OutKast, Mos Def, Common, Talib Kweli, Dead Prez and many more, also produced the 1st Tribute to Latinas in Hip-Hop hosted by Hot 97 's own Dee Vazquez with Dj Lazy K on the wheels. In 2007 Sano took Latin Connect concerts to São Paulo Brazil and worked with clients such as Heineken, Budweiser, Enyce, Joker Brand, Family Healthplus, Lifebeat, The Source, Hennessy, Inca Kola, BMI, Timeout NY, Mun2 and early consulting for the 1st Cuervoton . In addition, Sano co-produced many "Common Ground" concert series along with Papa Jube of Altino Productions and co-hosted it with the legendary D.I.T.C's Lord Finesse featuring artists such as: MIMS, Lupe Fiasco, Inmortal Technique, Styles P, Raze, 950 plus, Saigon, Ice-T, Ras Kass, Coppadonna, T Weaponz, Jae Millz, Cormega, and more. Other co-production attributes include Latin Alternative Music Conference ( LAMC ) at the Virgin Mega Store , Latin Rap Conference 2005 ( LRC ), El Museo Del Barrio , and contributed in concerts with Orishas, Mala Rodriguez, and many more. Sano is currently involved with 1. hip-hop's heavyweight AZ (formerly of THE FIRM: Nas, Foxy Brown, Cormega & Dr.Dre) doing marketing & bookings (Quiet Money Records). 2. Besides co-writing with world/reggae super star NOTCH and doing the intro on his hit "Que Te Pica" from his latest album "Raised By The People" (Universal) , Sano also does Event Consultings for Notch's label (Cinco Por Cinco). 3. This summer Sano's MLR will begin the series "Celebrating Hip-Hop & Heritage" with local and international concerts.
