My main success however is as a Record Producer, songwriter and punk cellist. I am often written about on websites about innovative record producers (I have had 250 tracks released Worldwide as a record producer)I am often reffered to as the new Joe Meek (I have in fact produced 2 of his most popular acts as well. The Honecombs & Glenda Collins)
I also started a new trend for doing new and interesting versions of cult T.V and Film themes that helped break new artists as well as gain my reputation as an innovator as Producer.
But one thing people keep telling me is my songwriting is my best talent and I was once championed by some as the new John Lennon or Paul Weller because of my strong meaningful lyrics. (A lot to live up to) If I can be half as good as those two (Who happen to be two of my heroes) I will be very happy.
The new challenge for 2007 is Films as I have written a number of scripts some of which I shall also Direct in the not too distant future.
My past incarnations include being one of the top D.Js in Europe and I was a Mod Ace face doing a Mod Fanzine Dedicated Follower which is now housed in The Victoria and Albert museum in London as testiment to Mod culture as well as writing and producing records for Mod icon Eleanor Rigby. I also produced Mod acts like Lambrettas and a number of cult artists. After The Eleanor Rigby Success I formed Ministry of Ska and was one half of this duo writing songs and producing the band but decided to front it as well. I invented yet another new music genre in 'Ska Surf'.
I shelved this for a while to do something more cutting edge and Innovative and Box Office Poison was born pioneering a new genre of Music called 'Pop Noir' (which we eventually changed our name to). I have another new band called 'Psykick Holiday' and have just finished writing and recording our new album for release probably in late 2007.We have also done two tracks for a James Bond Compilation produced by me called 'The Themes Bond...James Bond' and in preview Copies 'Psykick Holiday' got singled out for special praise. I tend to live my life as an adventurer when not being innovative in the arts and sample many different cultures and countries and get myself in trouble living close to the edge.
