Ken Mellons is a singer, songwriter born and bred in the State of Tennessee. A graduate of Dupont High School and a former member of Opryland's Country Music USA show. Mellons signed a Major Label recording contract in 1992 with Sony(Epic Records) where he recorded two albums, his Self titled debut album Ken Mellons that rendered his first top ten hit record "Jukebox Junkie" which received ASCAP's One Million Air Play Award for one of the most played songs in 1994. The debut album also included Workin' For The Weekend, Lookin' In The Same Direction and the fan favorite I Can Bring Her Back. Where Forever Begins was the second album Mellons recorded for Sony in 1995 that included the humorous song "Rub-A-Dubbin". In 1997 Mellons signed his second Major Label deal, this time with Curb Records where Mellons recorded The Best Of CD that was released in 2001. Mellons fourth release entitled Sweet on the Independent Label Home Records came out in 2004 that had his emotionaly heart felt version of "Paint Me A Birmingham" with Vince Gill singing harmony. Ken Mellons is without a doubt one of the most underated and arguably one of the best pure traditional country singers in the business. The way Mellons delivers a ballad or kick's an uptempo honky tonker into high gear is inevitable and extremley obvious, all you have to do is put one of his Cd's on to hear that!! Ken Mellons is not only a very gifted and talented singer he's also an established songwriter with hit songs written for Platnium selling artists such as George Strait, Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams Jr. and Mark Chestnutt. Ken Mellons is a father, a son, a brother, and a friend. When Mellons is not making music, he's spending time with his son Kade, his family and very beautiful, talented girfriend Kristy Jo. He's a Tennessee Vols Football Fan and his favorite NFL player is Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning.
