Tim Culpepper, a native of Montgomery Alabama developed a gospel and country music background at an early age. He began playing guitar at age 10 and was inspired by listening to his father's extensive country music collection. He especially was influenced by the sounds of Bob Wills and the hardcore country of George Jones and Merle Haggard.Country music runs deep in the veins of the Culpepper family. Curly Culpepper, Tims father, played in honkytonks and local radio stations in the late 1940s and 50s with the likes of Hank Williams Sr. and Marty Robbins, therefore Tim attributes his passion for country music to his father.In addition to having a great passion for family and God, Tim has a love and respect for our country. Following graduation from high school, he joined the United States Navy. After serving two years, he returned to Montgomery where he played his music for anyone who would listen. Tim formed a local band and began playing locally for clubs, parties, and special events. For the last 15 years Tim has devoted his time to perfecting his musical talents as a singer/songwriter and has been thrilling audiences young and old with his powerful blend of classic honky-tonk and southern rock. Tim has opened for a number of country music artists which include Jon Conlee, Gene Watson, Billy Joe Royal, David Frizzel, and Hank Jr's Bama Band, just to name a few. In 2005, Tim co-produced and recorded his independent debut album, "Never Look Back", at Legends Recording Studio in Nashville, TN. Since the release of his debut CD, Tim has been working hard at self-promotion and CD sales. Most recently, Tim was featured in on-air interviews at major country radio station WPAP in Panama City Beach, FL. as well as local radio station WDXX in Selma, AL. where several songs were spotlighted and received overwhelmingly positive reviews from listeners. Since then, other radio stations in southeast Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee have started playing Tim's music. He resides with his family in the Nashville area where he is writing, networking, singing and playing bass guitar, and continuing to pursue his dream in the Music City. Tim has recently signed a publishing contract with DRDK Music Group and is working on his latest CD, which will be released in the Fall of 2008.
