Started from one friendster account in December 2004, previously known as "The Local Scene",Skreenprint then grew to two accounts due to overwhelming response from suppporters of the local music scene and homegrown bands. The skreenprint crew was then formed around June 2005 to start a local music e-zine for all local music supporters.
For the local music scene by the people who love the local music scene. Skreenprint is an online zine of sorts founded by a small group of Singaporean youths who are intrigued by Singapore's budding local talent. Gigs over the weekends, CD and band reviews and a whole bunch of random articles to tide you during the week where gigs rarely take place (all thanks to the Singapore work hectic workweek). But come Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all hell breaks loose as the guitars, basses, drums, keyboards and whathaveyous are pulled out and studios (as well as other gig venues) resonate with the sound of crashing cymbals, guitar distortion and heartfelt vocals.
Skreenprint also organises gigs like the recent "Skreenthis!" on March 11th on IJ and it was a debut (wow) success. To give everyone a chance, we also would put some talented bands which haven't had the chance to be on a platform to play for our gigs.
www.skreenprint.net is still under the works but its coming up real soon to provide you with all the twang twang twang, jeng jeng jeng and crashbamboom so do watch out for the opening of it!
Remember to just keep your passion for the local music scene because as long as you believe, we all can make wonders.

Bands could also send us their songs to be put up on our myspace. So please message us and you get the drift!
