"Creativity is the drive of Life !"Raz is a free lancing musician; Jazz Piano player and a music educator from ISRAEL.Graduate of Berklee College of Music - Summa Cum Lauda (1996). Awarded as the "Most Active Performer" in 1993. Indeed, Raz was an active performer in the Bostonian vicinity during his residence (1990-1996). He was the leader of "The Arcanum Trio" with Carlos Sanoja on bass and Dominic Doppler on drums and toured Europe three times with his trio in 1994, 1995, 1996. He recorded a CD titled "A" with The Arcanum Trio in 1996. He has been an active performer ever since moving back to Israel. Focusing more and more on the Jazz education of youger generations, he served as the chairman of the Jazz Dep. of the Tel Aviv high school of the Arts 1998-2006.
In 2004 he published a first book: Jazz Improvisation - Theory and Basis (written in Hebrew).
He is currently studying for a Master Degree in Music Education at the Levinsky College of Education - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL. Focusing mostly on Jazz education for the undergraduate music education program. In autumn 2007 Raz was awarded by the Dean of Students for the highest achievements level as the top ranking student.
Raz is currently working on a Jazz Harmony book, and translating the improvistaion book to english.
