BiographyBad Brya saw the light of life Aug. 31st 1982 in Amsterdam East.
Badbrya began writing at the age of 14 after hearing all sorts of Hip hop which her older brother listened to.
She got intrigued by the way rappers were putting their message out there in the world.
Inspired by several artists such as Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley. Besides Hip hop she also got influenced
by other styles like Reggae, Arabic and loads more.
You could find Bad Brya scribbling at any giving time and place.
Inseparable from her pen and pad .
All kinds of stuff kept flowing and evolving.
Bad Brya was doing her thing just 4 fun at youth centre Jaco until friends and strangers pointed out the
talent she has which she should develop and take 2 the next level.
She started appearing at local talent shows (Most Wanted) and open mic-nights (Winston).
Slowly getting recognized here and there which pushed her more and more doing her own thing.
This Moroccan female Mc Bad Brya left great impression wherever she performed with her sublime charisma and uplifting spirit taking you over before you know it.
Sharing with you many things that has crossed her intriguing path of life.
One thing led 2 another from short guest appearances in several shows such as NMO at Ned. 1
and performances at the Paradiso and Melkweg to her very own documentary : R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
There you can see BB’s string of setbacks which never stopped her from living life 2 the fullest’
(Like B says: Always try 2 find the positive in the negative).
Not only did she reached the younger generation but also touched the hearts of the older public.
Success kept elevating.In 2003 Bad Brya won the best talent award at the Uitmarkt. Handed over by non other than
Michael Franti from Spearhead
Besides all of this above this Bizzy B gives rap workshops to people through the ages 6 to 60 at many
different schools and youth centres.In the summer of 2005 she was one of the support acts in Morocco of the band Kasba.
Bad Brya rocked in Casablanca and Marrakech.
Bad Brya's first video clip of the track On my way was in 2005 a year long in the top 10 charts of Morocco,
came up on number 1.
2006 Bad Brya had a tour in The Balkans which was a great success.
Shortly after that Bad Brya had a tour in Tanzania and Zanzibar.In 2007 Bad Brya was busy finishing her Album Voice Mail (supported by Mama cash, Controverse Music
Nfp and the Hope box ). which she released the 10th of September in de Bitterzoet Amsterdam .
After that she did a little Album tour in the Netherlands , followed by a tour in Georgia ( Tbilisi ) ,
Vietnam, Aruba .2008 Bad Brya did a couple of Radio performances in Aruba.
Followed by many gigs and interviews in the Netherlands.The 17th of May till the 22nd of May Bad Brya will have a tour and some
National television performances in Morocco with
one of Morocco and Netherlands most famous band Kasba ( www.kasba.nl )
Bad Brya is also going to release a second video clip of one of the tracks of her
Album Voice Mail in the month of May.The 5th of June you can check out Bad Brya on BBC2 , last year BBC2
Recorded a short documentary about Bad Brya ( music, religion and fashion ).This summer of 2008 Bad Brya is going to Release her Debut Album Voice Mail in Ibiza.September 2008 there is a Hope Box tour planned in Georgia and Kosovo.(For more info check out www.badbrya.com the agenda) !!
