O.A.P. Records
Producer, sound engineer and drummer Barry Olthof started O.A.P. Records in the begin of 2007. The label was inspired by the drive to work with international artists to make top quality recordings in the fields of Jazz and World Music. Barry has worked for nearly 15 years as an engineer and producer. In co-operation with O.A.P. Records he continues to work independently on the realisation and recording of CD Albums through Olthof Audio Productions.
The Sound
O.A.P. Records distinguishes itself through a direct, transparent and refined sound. The groupsound of the band in combination with the atmosphere and spirit of the musicians are reflected in the recordings. All productions are artistic, unique and timeless.
The Technique
The recording process is done with the utmost care. O.A.P. Records challenges its self to approach the reality of the music as closely as possible. The goal is to give the listener the feeling of being present at the performance of the music.
