Ran Dosis is a singer/songwriter/musician/instrumentalist/producer from Heidelberg/Germany. Born&Raised in a musical and artistic family he showed unusual interest in music (mainly classics) at a very early age. At nearly the same time he was introduced 2 the music of various american Soul&Jazz musicians such as : Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Jimmi Hendrix, Keith Jarret, Chic Corea...) by his multi-cultural american mother. He was also strongly influenced by his father, who played mostly classic piano (Chopin, Liszt, Debussy and own compositions) and his uncle (afro-cuban percussion, drums, guitar, vocals) who helped develop his interest and skills concerning rhythmic instruments and later guitar playing. Apart from 2 years of piano and singing lessons he has autodidacticly advanced these skills and adopted additional instrumental, recording and dancing skills. By the way he already showed great talent for composition at the age of 10.Highly impressed by Hip-Hop in his early teans he started rappin' and beatboxin'...Besides the already mentioned he furthermore was inspired by artists like : Prince, Michael jackson, James Brown, Terence Trent D'Arby, Madonna, Blackstreet, Craig David, Jamiroquai... All these impressions combined with electronic music and contemporary RnB inspired Ran Dosis 2 create his very own personal sound. 4 some years he's been attending various jamsessoins and has participated in a few smaller band-projects. Due 2 the fact that he has not yet found suitable members 2 form a band that could be internationally successful, he currently focuses on his solo-project (it includes about 50 recorded and more than 150 unrecorded songs/compositions) in order 2 produce demos intending 2 get a record deal...
