Hey gang! What to say? I'm a music freak of sorts. Like crazy into La Ley and Mana in particular. Some of you will be saying WHO, but maybe I can expand your horizons. I use myspace mostly to blog, but haven't kept it up, so I apologize. Life sometimes keeps its own running commentary in my head, but too often I don't take the time to record it, and I really should. I'm an educator, never wanted to be anything else, but did you ever wonder what else you could do with your life? It's like, technology is my life, which is kind of freaky b/c I never really went to school for it. I love cats, I love photography, love to travel. I'm really just babbling now. I love to talk to people and get to know them, and it doesn't matter too much what we have in common. I'm also an avid supporter of AC Milan...yeah, long story how I ever got into Italian soccer, but FORZA MILAN! I own a forum for Milan fans, been at it for 8 years, and as they say how time flies when you are having fun. I totally idolize Paolo Maldini who may retire at the end of the season. Have gotten totally into TAPS and Ghost Hunters--you'll know who I mean if you watch the show on Sci-Fi. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my old "flame" Trevor Rabin, ex-guitarist for the prog rock group YES. We've been friends for so long, it's scary to even think about it...

Photography--both concert and travel. (check the cover of Trevor Rabin's Live in LA CD, those are 2 of my pix) Travel is another biggie, and music of course!

I'd like to meet:

Already met Beto and the guys, so I guess Mana is next. And definitly have to catch up to the TAPS folks at some convention...and sure wouldn't mind meeting david Duchovny and David Conrad, and author Dan Brown.

NUMB3RS fan vid of Charlie and Don to In Your Eyes

NUMB3RS--did you know spaghetti will always break into 3 or more pieces?

Music:

LINKIN PARK--BREAKING THE HABIT--AWESOME SONG!!
LA LEY PERFORMS 1-800-DUAL FROM THE VERTIGO TOUR

It's been a long and diverse history, so you'll have to read about it in my blog. Main question right now is how did a gringa and her best friend ever get into 2 groups like LA LEY and MANA?? Read it in my blog and all comments welcome! I also like music from the 80's--just went thru a Journey revival, as a matter of fact, nad about once a year I revive all my old Toto stuff. Don't laugh, if you've never given them a listen you have no clue how good they really are! And of course when I think music I think Trevor Rabin. Altho he does movie sound track now and has since the mid 90's (nearly 40 movies by now I think), he still rocks out on guitar and keyboards.

Movies:

My mind always goes blank when I want to list fave titles! DUH! I like comedies and romantic comedies, sci fi, and yeah, we watch our share of horror movies. 2 movies that totally surprised me b/c I liked them so much were Finding Neverland and National Treasure. In fact I have to call National treasure my fave EVER!! Can't wait till NT2 is out and am anxious for the much-rumored 2nd X Files movie! Let's see if I can recall a few....8 Legged Freaks, Tremors, The DaVinci Code, the Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Ever After, Star Trek Generations (fave scene, the saucer separation and crash!), 13th Warrior, the Pirate of the Carribean movies, Over the Hedge, Ice Age 1, Waterworld, The Postman, 300, Independence Day, The Day After... I like just about any movie Johnny Depp is in, ditto Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.

Television:

Don't do network TV very much and just dumped DISH TV for digital cable. Got lost on Lost and so I've kind of given up on that. Watch Ghost Whisperer b/c of the husband played by David Conrad. Loved him on a short-lived show called Relativity. Recently found the show NUMB3RS and David Krumholtz! I am a HUGE ghost Hunters fan! Also into Eureka and have found my way back to The X Files, having been an original XPhile when the show first was broadcast. Love to watch reruns of Star Trek, prefer educational stuff about science, astronomy, and health over just about anything else that's on.

Books:

All-time favorite: The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks. And last year I got into Dan Brown's books, yeah, the guy who wrote The Da Vinci Code. LOVED Digital Fortress, that was the first one of his that I read. Excellent! Angels and Demons is another very excellent read!

Cool MySpace Comments

Heroes:

Gene Roddenberry (to us Trekkies, he is God), George Lucas, the late astronomer Carl Sagan (who died far too young), my fellow faculty at MPS, Paolo Maldini, the magnificent defender for AC Milan, Trevor Rabin former axeman for prog-rock group Yes and who now does soundtracks....and anyone willing to lay it on the line for peace! But above all else...my dad. He amazes me with the amount of energy he has at age 76. While in the Air Force, he and mom were stationed in Germany and then he taught chemistry for 35 years. There's plenty of family on his side, because he has 7 siblings, or I guess I should say had, as one sister died in the summer of 2005. And frankly, they're all tops on my heroes list too. My dad's family is kooky and loud and just totally enjoys life and each other. They get together when they can, and the annual Christmas party, which my dad has hosted for about 12 years now, is alot like watching a bunch of rowdy kids exchange presents. They get each other gag gifts that really do have some sort of deep meaning, and they fairly burst with excitment waiting for each other to open their special prize. I didn't realize till after my mom died in April 96 that I'm more like my dad--sense of humor, always joking, but analytical. Hope I'm still like him when I reach 76!!
