We need drivers! We have some exciting investigations planned but need people to help investigate!
You can always reach me with Windows Live Messenger. My ID is: [email protected]. You have to put the entire email address in. On AIM and Yahoo I am: campermick.I like to do paranormal research and investigations. I have been interested in paranormal investigation for 11 years now and formed my own group (WEPS)in February of 2008. I am a former member of CPSI. I am aware of the dangers involved in this field and would not try much on my own without the proper training.
I should take this opportunity to explain something. I had surgery for a brain aneurysm 5 years ago. Sometimes I can't put into words or find the right words that my mind is telling me. Please, this is not ignorance, just miscommunication from the brain to the hand. It is so hard and frustrating when you know what you want to say or write but yet the simplest words won't come. Spelling is also a big issue - I can't spell worth crap! Ok, well we are on the subject I might as well tell you also that I am legally blind! I know - what a mess! I get around just fine however. I wear think glasses when not wearing my contacts. I just got a new pair of glasses and was very disappointed. The person I used to get my glasses from custom made them and he took allot of pride in making something that wasn't that obvious. Well he passed away and finding someone like him has proven difficult!
I have been interested in 'ghosts' ever since I was a young kid. I am catholic and was brought up to believe in the Holy Ghost and all the saints. The Holy 'Ghost' always fascinated me. I mean, as a kid the only ghost I knew of was Casper! As I got older my knowledge extended to Saturday afternoon movie matinées featuring such classics as the original 3D movie 13 Ghosts! I was hooked after seeing this and wanted to be scared out of my wits when ever possible!
As a kid I visited New England often since my mother was from Boston. I remember visiting relatives in Glauster and listening to my old aunt tell the story of the 'lady on the stairs'. A vision she and her neighbors saw often, a screaming woman gliding down the steps of my aunts water front tenement. These homes were those of the fishermen. Old, beat up, weather beaten. It is believed that the apparition was the spirit of a woman who threw herself down the stairs when her husband was lost at sea. Of course all us kids swore that we saw her! I never even heard her. Salem was also one of our stops but I never knew of the House of the Seven Gables haunting until I was in college. I toured it but never sensed anything out of the ordinary. I do remember that even as a kid I thought how beautiful the backyard of the house was! Green grass, trees, flower gardens, the ocean! In Salem however I did always have the feelings of doom and depression. It is a somber village. It was always hard to feel festive when ever I visited it with my family.
I grew up with the notion of ghosts as malevolent beings out to 'get you'! It wasn't until I was a teenager that I started to realize that spirits are just another form of energy.
A few years ago I became interested in Instrumental Trans Communication, more specifically, EVP'S. I watched the movie White Noise with Michael Keaton. I just figured it was a sci-fi movie and never gave it much thought until I saw a documentary on The Discovery Channel about EVP'S. The people investigating a cemetery had an evp of a boy who's head stone was moved. You could clearly hear the boy say "I cannot find my stone"! I also had a picture that was taken in my kitchen. It is below called 'face'. It showed someone looking in my window! I was hooked and started researching evp on the web. I was surprised to find so much written about it. It has taken me a long time but now I am ready to start developing some skills. I now have 2 digital recorders and two analog recorders. I have two digital cameras and two 35mm cameras, one is srl.. I use Goldwave and Acustica to clean up my recordings. Sometimes I use Audacity which is a free download if you search it out.
I really enjoy visiting and investigating cemeteries. I like walking along the stones and imagine what the people who are buried there were like. How did they live and how did they die. Are they at rest? I always carry at least a recorder with me to do some dvr's. I love taking pictures of the stones also. The background of this page is a picture I took of St. Clair Cemetery in Pittsburgh. I have some of my cemetery pix in my photos section but have to organize them better. I also have a few hundred more I need to go through and post. I've stumbled on the graves of Civil War vets as well as Revolutionary War vets. Vets from The Spanish American War and the War of 1812. The composer Stephen Foster, artist Andy Warhol, the Carnegies, the Mellons are just a few of the notables buried in and around Pittsburgh. I want to connect with them all!
I call this page Mick's Ghosts but it is purely a personal page. I seem to have allot of paranormal activity surrounding me and that is what I blog about mostly. My nephew Jim is an empath but doesn't know how to develop his abilities. I blog about him occasionally. I never really understood what the phrase 'ignorance is bliss' actually meant until I went to college. It applies here. The more we learn, the more we realize what we don't know.
You see, I want to investigate but I also want to go that one step more. I want to communicate, help and relinquish trapped or lost entities. I want to do away with their loneliness and help them along to their rest!
