About Me
Welcome to my little slice of myspace. I know there is no possible way to put everything about me here but I made a huge effort to cover the basics. I enjoy a good game of poker and find any excuse to go to Vegas (lately). I enjoy a good conversation over coffee, and love long walks. I enjoy the sound of rain on the roof of a car and the cold of a late night walk on the beach. I live for that quiet time just before first light when the stars give way to the umber colors of morning. That sound of the hook splashing water, or the feel of a good warm jacket.
My interest would take years to cover.
For starters rat rods, 4x4’s, WW2 bombers, tanks, old suits of armor, swords, guns, cigars, lead sleds, war birds, pin ups, wild west artifacts, coffee, Enigma, Viking rune’s, coins, and flame throwers.
I have Gunsmithed for police, DOD, FBI, Secret Service, Military and civilians for both there personal and professional weapons.
When I was 17 my first real job was working at Hilldale Guns, then later I picked up a gunsmithing job at C-Crest Arms and managed Greta’s Guns, the latter I managed for 6 years. Also recently I picked up a part time job on weekends at the new gun store in Simi called Fort Courage, but now a-days I build servers and trouble shoot Banking networks as my full time job.
Growing up I had a lot of opportunities learning from my dad, uncles and friends. So I got the hunting trips, camping, traveling and learning things that most kids now a days don’t have the opportunity to learn, like tracking, shooting, trapping, learning what’s safe to eat and what’s not out in the wilderness, you know things that give you a feeling of accomplishment.
I'm Lakota/Choctaw, Scot/Irish, and German. So I can hate any body equally. LMAO!
As a kid I metal detected the Wild West from California’s gold fields to Nevada’s silver mines.
I have found some great things over the years like watches, gold teeth, coins, guns, horse shoes, locks, bottles and bottle caps.
I love to read books and history is my interest.
The Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, Indian wars, Spanish American War, Philippine Uprising, WW1, WW2, Korea , Vietnam , Desert Storm, and the War on Terrorist those are compelling reads for me.
I repair watches as a hobby as well as take pictures with my old cameras.
Antique books and maps are also something I dabble with and have a decent collection most of them vintage! First printings like Tom Sawyer, Sherlock Holmes, and Edgar Allen Poe as well as maps from the 1800’s.
Most of the time (make that all of the time) I feel like I was born in the wrong era as I could live very happily way back in the 1800’s as a mountain man trapping and trading or as a cowboy riding for the brand all the way up to the 1940’s jumping along side my grandfather on June 5th, or hitting beaches on Saipan.
Back in my gun store days I would spend hours listening to all the vets tell their stories, and even been blessed a couple of times with gifts like old uniforms, gear and even guns!
Went to school to draw but never was able to get my foot in the door as an animator but I still doodle a lot as well as I tool leather and engrave on guns. You see I hate to have idle hands so I'm always tinkering.
My newest project is working on my 1969 Chevy C10 4X4 Truck which I'm rebuilding/restoring from the rims to the paint.
I have a few tattoos now, and I think I have contracted a case of ink addiction!
Antique stores, second hand shops, garage sales, flea markets and gun shows are some of the places you can find me. (I got a thing or bartering! Lol)
I still my own brand of moonshine that I like to call "Floor Polish" 2 shots and your on the floor!!!
Love a good game of poker or blackjack, even though I find time passes way too fast at the table.
South Dakota and Wyoming I would love to call home someday, as I rode broncos and roped my share as a kid so I try real hard to keep my cowboy heart and soul alive.
I am not the "church going kind†but I bend my knee to God and talk to him daily.
Read my blog on God's not dead.
Oh and don't ask me about my political views cause they probably will piss you off and I really don’t give a rats a$$ about yours, so keep them to yourself. (PLEASE)
As for who I am, well I'm a proud American who will pledge allegiance to the flag, bow my head during prayer, stand next to you when things are bad and help you when you needed it.
No matter what I'm doing or what time of day it is, I'll give the shirt off my back or the last dollar in my pocket cause I been down that road a few times and doing it alone sucks.
Oh and almost forgot if you don’t know what to do with dad or grandpa's old gun, bayonet, uniform or that tank in the garage – let me know.
After reading all this crap and you want to know me better stop by say hi and send me an email! Become one of my new friends, cause I'd enjoy meeting you and any excuse to sit around a camp fire swapping stories and drinking shine works for me.
