Right now I'm listening to alot of free-form marching band, klezmer-punk, gypsy and circus......Extra Action Marching Band, Hungry March Band, E.E. Environmental Encroachment, Mucca Pazza, The Beat Circus, Gogol Bordello, Crooks and Nannies to name a few. If you have any favorites, please let me know. Of course, I always have time for Manu Chao, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, John Lurie and the Lounge Lizards, Joe Strummer with or without The Clash, Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, The Velvet Underground, Sly and the Family Stone, Thelonious Monk, They Might Be Giants, John Coltrane, Art Tatum, Django Reinhardt and just about anything coming out of Detroit, past and present, but most notably Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Little Stevie Wonder, The Stooges, MC5, George Clinton and more recently His Name is Alive. Shit, I forgot DEVO.
Since the day it was released, my favorite movie has been The Blade Runner. Director's cut is even better. Other favs include Freaks, Schitzopolis, Spun, Grey Gardens, SPL and Gumnaam.
