Giddy up 419!!

About Me

I used to spend a great deal of time complaining about the world’s injustices, registering voters, protesting at every last rally and telling people that I was right and this is how they should feel about a particular issue. Obviously, looking at the current state of things, that track was getting me and the world nowhere, except older and more depressed. It's not that I no longer give a shit. I do still vote, tell people when I think there is a better way (read my blog) and listen to Manu Chao. I've just pretty much accepted the strengths and weaknesses, successes and failings of our species. Now, I'm the director of a non-profit arts organization that produces ephemeral, nonsensical organized and guerrilla art events in the Toledo area, with no greater message than to just "be". I hope to unite people of diverse political and economic backgrounds through a common goal, trying to capture the true human-spirit, all the while waiting for our eventual final confrontation with Mother Earth. Here’s to hoping she wins… Did I mention that I’m havin’ a blast!!

My Interests

art cars, burlesque, carnivals, Dee-troit City, espresso, fire, gorilla events, helium, interesting people, jugglers, King Wamba, laughter, marching bands, neo-fluxism, outsider art, parades, Queen Sancha, road trips, Silly Putty, Toledo, unicycling, Vaudeville, the old WDET (before Michael Coleman and WSU ruined it), X-Rays, yo yo's and Zizie(my kid)
