ENGLISH About Daniel Sapcu Although Daniel was raised in a family of musicians, first of all his mathematical skills were trained. At the age of 14 years, Daniel persuaded his family that he, too, wanted to become a professional musician. Since then, he cannot be stopped... From the beginning his upmost interest belonged to the drums. Looking for the perfect opportunity to develop his skills as an instrumentalist as far and as fast as possible he decided to leave his home very early. His path led him far away through his country Romania and finally he came with 20 years to Germany. There in Lübeck he began his study at the university. The first two years turned out to be the hardes of his life. Alone in a foreign country, not knowing the language and without help from his family. At least ten times he nearly quit. In the daytime he had to take his courses at the university and in the night he had to earn his money for life. The psychological pressure, fatigue and stress made life very hard. But he didn’t give up, thanks to his own ambitious strength and to his teacher and mentor Massimo Drechseler. At the end of 2003 all the trouble was recompenced with a contract as a classical orchestra drummer with the Hamburger Symphonic Orchestra. That was Daniel’s break-through. After another two years as a classical orchestra drummer he rediscovered his passion for the drum set and decided to accept a job as an instrument teacher for drums at the music school of Kiel.
