This version of the world will not last very long; it is already gone, it is already gone...

About Me

I like politics & religion, not necessarily in that order, while eating dinner.
You Are The Hulk
Super strong and super scary, you were never meant to be a superhero.
You're not really into saving the world. And the world better get out of your way. What Superhero Are You?Layout made by exotic_pinoy at CreateBlog.com .

My Interests

Gadflys (or is it Gadflies?)

I'd like to meet:

I'm a thinking man's cynic - anyone with a critically thinking brain and a wicked, offbeat, or sick sense of humor works for me. If you're interested in a reasonable exchange, contact me. If all you want to do is send me the usual MySpace fluff, then you probably ought to pass this one by...That being said, please don't add me as a friend unless you've chatted with me first. I'm interested in meeting new people, but I'm not automatically inclined to add friends just so I have a high box score. Let's chat, and then we can talk about adding as a friend.

Music:

All of it. Except opera. But especially Bob Dylan,The Stones, and The Kinks... width="425" height="350" THE best Rock N' Roll Band of the 1970's - BAR NONE ..

Movies:

12 Monkeys, The Ninth Gate, Donnie Darko, Requiem for a Dream, Pi, Fight Club, Vanilla Sky, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Ran, Titus, Scotland, PA. - Anything that challenges my sense of time and reality, or is an adaptation of Shakespeare. Also, films about writers like Shakespeare in Love, Wonder Boys, or Finding Forester. I also watch mindless films that have lots of car chases, shooting, explosions (Boondock Saints), or zombies (Thank you, George Romero) with my son... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" ..

Television:

I alternate between addiction and abstinence.

Books:

Far too many to name - contact me and we'll chat.

You're Ulysses!
by James Joyce
Most people are convinced that you don't make any sense, but compared to what else you could say, what you're saying now makes tons of sense. What people do understand about you is your vulgarity, which has convinced people that you are at once brilliant and repugnant. Meanwhile you are content to wander around aimlessly, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. What you see is vast, almost limitless, and brings you additional fame. When no one is looking, you dream of being a Greek folk hero.
Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid .

Heroes:

Bob Dylan, Ray Davies, H.L. Mencken, Christopher Hitchens (even though he pissed me off by jumping the fence and supporting Bush's war in Iraq), House MD, The Algonquin Round Table, Jonathan Swift, Mark Twain, and anyone else who is good at pissing people off by telling the truth. Also, my dad and my son Nathanael.
