I am here for Friends

About Me

I love life!

I love the water, hiking and x-games style action sports. I go to Woodward West on and off just for the high of watching the pros in action. I love watching my sons and their friends growing up and I love helping people whenever and however I can.

I have CNS Lupus,MS, fibro and more- what a combo huh? I have been sick on and off for 14 years. I plan to kick their collective booties and I am doing so. They gave me a countdown and I won! I'm the healthiest and happiest I have been in years. Talk to me if you want to know some alternative therapies that have worked for me.Not a sales gimmick, just advice. :o)

I believe in all types of healing and prayer. We all pray to a higher power, we just assign our higher power different names. Too many religions are so much the same. If we could just open our eyes the world would be a better place.

My Interests

Hiking, fishing, swimming, skating, biking, bowflex,LIFE and living to ones utmost potential(oh yeah, I forgot dancing and roller coaster riding- where was my head...). Helping others with their illnesses or troubles.

I'd like to meet:

People who need someone to talk to, that just need a shoulder.

Let Us Weave Rainbows

Let us weave rainbows
Tapestries of many hues
Many strings to form a thread
Many threads to form a muse

Through our lives we gather
We keep our weavings close to heart
And as we sit and spin our tales
We weave a rainbow of beauty and art

We learn from the sad and hold to the good
We stay strong as best we are able
We gather our emotions and experiences to share
And spin the threads of our life into a multi threaded cable

Finally we weave the rainbow
As Creator intended us to
All the vibrant colors combine
Together, woven, to just one hue

Gathered thoughts, gathered friends
Gathered hopes, gathered fears
Rainbows tethered in a form so rare
Tears reflect the rainbows of our gathered years

Our rainbow weave is now complete
Our lives work so bittersweet
As evidence of our strong fight
The rainbows weaving has become pure white
light...

Music:

I like everything... talking everything from classic rock, milder metal like "Ironman" and some select songs by Guns and Roses, to country, to Linkin Park and Amber Pacific, ZZ Top, Eagles, all the way to classical and Celtic hymns. I just don't like disco and elevator music- well I do like Funkytown (is that disco?- I don't know). I like old rap like "Freaks Come Out at Night" and "Who Let the Dogs Out" but I don't really care for newer rap. (I know your thinkin' but she likes Linkin Park- good lyrics- really good lyrics.)Sheesh- I even like some songs by Milli Vanilli (I know they were'nt real) and younger Madonna, and Prince(I love his song "When Doves Cry).Anyway, like I said, pretty much everything- I just have to not fall asleep listening to it or not be able to discern the rambling screams of the singers. LOL Oh yeah- I don't care for Opera, go figure. :o)

Movies:

Sci-fi, Action Thrillers, Mysteries, Romance, etc. EX. Secondhand Lions, Underworld, Matrix, X-Men,Transformers,Blade,Message in a Bottle,Hope floats,Somewhere in Time( probably one of my all time favorites) etc.I don't like horror films(ok,I like them, but not the stupid ones, lol, I like the sci-fi ones or game based ones. Human condition is too wierd to watch horror movies about- ex. I could not watch a saw movie if you paid me and I hated the one with the girl in the well ).

Television:

Ghost Whisperer,Stargate Atlantis, Lost, CSI (the original), Midnight, New Amsterdam, Naruto, Dr. Who, 4400, Dead Zone oh and who could forget...HOUSE!

Books:

Too many to list, I've read enough books to fill my house over the years. I've only kept enough to fill one room full of bookcases. All kinds, all Religions, everything except boring factual @#$%, however some facts are great- just not the boring kind. I love to read medical books for example- it fascinates me to read about the human condition and the human body. I love surgical books, herbal books, mystical books etc.

Heroes:

People who make a difference...

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

Yes, life can throw you curves, I guess it's all in how you take it. I guess I'll use a baseball analogy for this one: 1. Do you jump in front of the curve ball hoping to get a free base because ...
