LINER NOTE BY ANANT LEUPRADIT (editor of Jazzlife) ..... "The name of this album recalls me of "Jam Session After Hours" which was a small phenomenon that had significant role in the history of Bebops in early 1940s. The feel of the album is like the time when those great artists gather together after work to play real music the way they liked... And this is how Bebop had brought Jazz to the new paradigm and to the new foundation of today's modern jazz.Jazz After Hours is born from the very same reason, When Narinpan Pantarawong (Joe) has spent his hours escaping from his daily routine to the realm of his beautiful imagination. From a casual start, he has become a guitarist, song writer, composer, and producer of this album. Then Thawichaya Tungsaharungsee (Pok) joined in and took care of the lyrics, while Romwong Srijaiyan (Pik) help co-producing this album. This dream team is no amatures; they have previously launched "Event of love" and "Event of Love II" in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Hence, it's not a surprise that "Jazz After Hours" is such a gather of professional artists singing 14 different songs. And it all came true with the exertion of Chatchawal Suradej (O).71 minutes of this album is not simply a piece of work that these artists have produced to fulfill their souls. It is also a realm where we; music lovers, could retrace to our own space. To me "Jazz After Hours" is a place where two groups of people meet secretly."The 4 songs you are listening here are ;"Tonrak" (the tree of love) that Xumate Ong-Ard has thrown his heart in Latin beat and scats along the piano line the way the way he has rarely done anywhere else. Joe's guitar line in "Hamjai" (Trying to control my heart) shows his genuine signature, and the voice of Palm Pimpetch Kunchara Na Ayudhaya helps complementing the song pretty well. "Yai-Mang-Moom" (Cobweb) is a remarkable all time favorite song by Prapas Chonsaranon. This new version is sang by Kanakam Apiradee (Bee) together with Pueng Armchair's flawless guitar solo. "Rok-Kon-Kee-Ngao" (Lonely Syndrome) might surprise you with the familiar voice of Ford Sonchai Kraiyoonsen singing in semi-cabaret style. Bomb Kaneth might be able to tickle your heart sarcastically with his playful voice in "Yoo-Yang-Por-Peaung" (Sustainable Living) that goes along so well with the flowing tune of Mr. Saxman. Please enjoy...
