The Nordwest-Bigband is a project-oriented jazz-orchestra settled in Oldenburg, northern Germany. Since founded in 2004 by Philipp Pumplün, Jörn Anders and Sven Schuster, the Band is playing concerts with international guest-soloists and arrangers. The members of the band are some of the finest musicians from Germany and the Netherlands. The Nordwest-Bigband has worked with: Bert Joris (Belgium), Joan Reinders (Netherlands), Peter Weniger (Germany), Florian Poser (Germany), Rob Horsting (Netherland), Ken Norris (Germany), Johan Plomp (Netherlands), Staatsorchester Oldenburg (www.staatstheater.de).
