Thank you for visiting my MySpace page.
As you can see, I am a musician. Of course, music alone does not define who I am.
Moving is infectious to me. I love going to new places and soaking it all in.. I grew up in a wonderful little town called Ponchatoula, LA, but have also had the pleasure of experiencing life in Boston, Los Angeles, Hawaii and a summer backpacking through 11 countries. One day I hope to live in Europe; Perhaps Southern France or on a Greek Isle.
I love theology (especially eastern), culinary arts, philosophy, romance languages, kriya yoga, used book stores, old LP's, politics and goverment, cobblestone roads, Balinese architecture, lime in my perrier, philanthropy, Ayurvedic medicine, sun dresses, skinny dipping, hand rolled cigarettes, late night dinners, PBS, my bari-dulcimer, the eurorail, strong french press coffee, Seeing friends (new & old), hasselblad cameras and medium format film, Astrology (I'm a proud Sagittarius) Outdoor markets, lemon pie, bare feet, volvos and old brittish taxi's, good kissers, hand-written letters, rain on my roof and lots of other quirkey me-things.
I am convinced that 12 is a magic number.
I am working towards a double Ph.D. in communications and anthropology with a minor in philosophy. A stack of books, a good worn in journal, a great record and a hot cup of tea sounds like heaven any day of the week. As long as I have life in me, I'll be exploring this world and finding new things to soak in.
I strongly believe in looking at the world as a global community and as an artist, strive towards unification instead of self-gratification. Music to me, is just a hightened form of communication... in most cases, you can completely cross cultural or language barriers with the language of song. It's an amazing unifier of the human spirit and we're all a part of it.
I don't really have a motto but if I had to isolate some fundamentals that I believe in- I would say: "stay as authentic to yourself as possible. Try to approach all situations with love and never stop exploring all of the beautiful things the world has to offer each of us."
