i read more plays than books. but my favorite authors/playwrights are those who i feel are the true geniuses of this age: tom stoppard, salman rushdie, martin mcdonagh, george f. walker, kurt vonnegut, neil labute, eugene o'neill, etc. and then there are those of ages past: aristophaphes, plutarch, moliere, marlowe, wilde, etc. and if i were a religious man, shakespeare's canon would be my bible.
