ESCAPE TO FREEDOM is a solo project by Windu Saskara (16 September 1980, Tokyo, Japan), who began his musical experience since junior high school. First, he played a keyboard, bass and later guitar. He played with his band (“hitam putih”) on many gigs since junior high school until college. After completing his studies at University of Indonesia and stuck with his band, Windu found work as an additional player in some bands (“Orang Iklan Rock Band”, “Valet”). He also works as studio musician, arranger and composer. He does many projects for jingle, scoring, poetry and theatre. By 2004 he found Elanvital Records and produced his first solo project which called Escape to Freedom. His first single, “Search the Light” (ep: Love and Spirituality) relayed on “Dem-O” (June 2005), O-Channel (Jakarta's Own Channel, Indonesia).
