Councious uplifting meaning music! How could i not start with Bob Marley, Lee scratch Perry, Jimmy cliff, Desmond Dekker, Steel pulse, Barrington Leavey, Capleton (very much) love his new stuff! Sizzla, old and new, Despite many of the views i dissagree with you can't deny his ability, he to me is like a vocal acrobat! his range and ability to change melodies is second to none! Cutty Ranks, Daddy Freddy, U Roy, Buju Banton etc ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................ Hip Hop i am into also and we have been known to make it! in this area the first has to be busta rhymes, the old stuff! even though the message he puts out through his music is very different from the one we promote, his style and delivery are untouchable! 'The Coming' and 'When disaster strikes' are the two albums that i'm most into! Fugees also 'The Score' some tunes on that are timeless! Also Lauryn Hill's solo album miseducation is class, and despite some of her extreme views some songs on that album are very moving and powerful! Wu-Tang, Method Man, Phi life cypher, Roots manouver etc. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................I am influenced by loads of old Jazz artists also, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis this era of jazz is i guess quite influencial in the sould and melody that i attempt through my music!
