BIG BASS IS BACK IN BUSINESS AT CORPORATION NIGHT CLUB ON BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY 4TH MAY – MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!
The Big Bass collaboration that pulled out some massive gigs last Autumn at Club Shhhh is back in business. The partnership of DUBCENTRAL and DARK CRYSTAL have secured two Bank Holiday dates at the Corporation in May to bring back to Sheffield that sweet bass driven vibe that made such a splash last Autumn.
On May 4th we team up with the bright and brash FEEDBACK crew to cover even more bass bases. FEEDBACK, making a big name round town for their old school rave, d’n’b and neuro-funk are bringing in DJ Survival (Quarantine Recordings) together with Residents DJs Fychu, Chappy, Venja, DJ P and Smiley Maxx (Dark Crystal).
Meanwhile in the main room at Corporation, DUBCENTRAL and DARK CRYSTAL are putting on as joint show with the dub merchants bringing in guest DJs from High Pressure Sound System from Leeds, supported by residents Mr. Meerkat, Legaliz, Sister Jahin & Fatta Sound. Meanwhile on the Dubstep and Jungle side DARK CRYSTAL feature dubstep sensation Dj DI, The Bass Junkies & Ruckspin, supported by residents Rogue State & Alex Deadman (R8 Records), Autograff and Junglist Alliance.

ABOUT DUBCENTRAL....
DUBCENTRAL is a night commited to promoting Reggae and Roots music from the past 40 years to the present day, not just from JA, but the UK and all over the world, it’s just gotta have the skank. Started around 6/7 years ago as a Sunday chill out session at the Vine Pub, with one little sound and a kaos pad, before hooking up with other young sounds (Riddimtion, Trouble and 4-Series) to put on the first session at the Everyone Centre, a night called One Love. The night with its hotchpotch of four small sounds cobbled together was certainly not the best soundsystem that’s played there, but the night went off with a bang, and it inspired us to carry on and look for ways to improve the nights and sessions. We wanted to bring soundsystems to Sheffield as for a long time there had been no big steppers scene here, so our first gig with Iration Steppas was an eye and ear opener for most people thru the door and people were hooked. Since then its been a long time of trying to keep things fresh, bringing new soundsystems and styles to the night, with our first non stepper night being an album launch for Dancehall giant Daddy Freddy with Underground Roots Soundsystem, other highlights include the Mad Proffessor live PA with Aisha, and of course Vibronics with Iration Soundsystem.
DUBCENTRAL is purely about ALL TRIBES coming together to listen to conscious, uplifting and vibrant music. ******************************************Our listeners are from all backgrounds, male and female, from teenagers to 84 year old grannies, and all leave with same smile on their face! It has to be said that the crowd and atmoshere is something very special in our sessions and one of the big reasons that Dubcentral is getting such a good reputation on the national scene.
