Flashback

Flashback is the brainchild of vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Jamie Vaughn, who has gathered together some of the most talented musicians the Valley of the Sun has to offer. Jamie is well-known to everyone in the local music scene as a tremendous vocal and guitar talent, and a genuine friend of the arts. Anything Jamie is associated with is always outstanding, and Flashback is no exception. Stan Hovel, the newest member of Flashback, started playing music when he was nine years old. He studied the French horn for nine years and had the distinction of becoming his high school’s first drum major. Stan then decided to play drums, forming a rock band with his two brothers and a neighborhood friend. After playing for a number of years, he started a career in the electrical field but never lost his passion for music. The last five years Stan has once again been able to play music locally. He is very excited to be a part of Flashback and have the chance to play with three excellent musicians. We are lucky to have him as the backbone of the band! On bass we are blessed to have the incomparable talent of Patrick Conner, who has been pickin’ and playin’ since he was knee high to a guitar stand. Patrick hails from Iowa and a large family full of rock and blues musicians. Patrick toured full time with the band Squadron, in the 80’s and has continued his success with various bands since. He is also a very gifted sound engineer. Singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer dctanner has been playing music in and around the Valley of the Sun for many years in bands such as The Arlie Hunt Blues Band, Next of Kin, Trilogy, Redline, Sleight of Hand, Rock Bottom, Last Shot of Blues, dctanner and Friends, and Harry Cee and the Soulful Horizons Band, as well as being in demand for recording sessions. His innovative improvisational ability on guitar and outstanding vocal styling have made him one of the most electrifying artists performing in the Phoenix area, earning the nickname: "The Guitarist From Hell." He is very excited to be playing with his good friends, Jamie and Pat, once again. Classic or hard rock, blues or a little fusion, this is one band you will want to hear live and up close.
