The band was formed in 2005 in Beirut – Lebanon. Their sound extends itself from different musical currents and lies in the indie-rock category yet with a more melodic and colorful approach. It all started back in 1988, when Michel (guitars), Karam (bass) & Shady (vocals) met and decided to form a band called “Snow Gooseâ€. Since they all shared the same musical influences such as the Doors, the Smiths, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Associates, and Joy Division, they began with song-writing trials, particularly their debut single “Sons & Lovers†which was considered the most promising new act of the year 1989 in the Top 30 Indie chart show of Radio Mount-Lebanon.Snow Goose was officially brought to the Lebanese music scene in 1989. The early years were fruitful in terms of song writing and the band became reputed for its atmospheric vocals and gloomy arpeggios. In 1993 the band released their second single “Recall me†followed by “Shadows to blameâ€, reaching number 2 in the Music show top 20 on MTV Lebanon. Following a series of gigs and performances, current member Tony Abou Jaoude, joined the band as a bass player in 1997, and work started on the band’s musical identity and the release of the first official album. But then due to long delays and members’ circumstantial absences, the album never saw the light and Snow Goose disbanded in late 1999.
It was until 2005 that Tony, Michel, and Shady decided to reunite under a brand new name -The Acrobats- and started working on new materials. May 2006, The Acrobats entered the studio and proceeded recording with sound engineer/producer Phillipe Tohme (Soap Kills, Blend, Tania Saleh, etc.) and session drummer Rodrigue Balian.
