What is Red Bull Bedroom Jam?
Red Bull Bedroom Jam is the first platform ever to combine a user generated video music content jukebox with a LIVE streaming facility.
Red Bull Bedroom Jam aims to help young bands and musicians boost their careers through a unique webcast platform and tutorials on media training, sound recording, video production ultimately all the tools needed to produce a quality live webcast performance on a budget.
Red Bull Bedroom Jam is open to all musicians.
The first stages of Red Bull Bedroom Jam will last 6 months in which time we travel around the UK and broadcast 12 Live shows from selected artists bedrooms. The first LIVE show took place on 27th September 2007 and will be followed by one every two weeks until the end of January 08.
What’s it About?
It’s about making new fans, developing your fanbase, it’s about learning new skills, it’s about Red Bull giving young talent Wiings.
Artists and musicians have to register and upload a music video or live performance to the www.redbullbedroomjam.co.uk website and this content once moderated will appear in on the 'watch and rate' section. Bands are then encouraged to alert their friends and fans to watch the content and rate it. There is no registration process to rate tracks but there is an optional newsletter sign up if you want to be alerted when the bands are selected for LIVE performances.
Once your content is on the site it will be rated by visitors and through out 2008 bands will be chosen for a LIVE broadcast on the Red Bull Bedroom Jam 'Live Stage' - from their own Bedroom. The Red Bull Bedroom Jam crew will arrive, and the fun begins. Our crew consists of professionals in video production, sound recording, live webcasting, and will prepare the band and their chosen Bedroom for the evening’s performance.
Red Bull Bedroom Jam will help you raise awareness of your music and to build you an audience.....its Showtime!
Who’s involved?
RED BULL & XTASTER have been working together for 8 months to develop the concept and platform. Xtaster are a music and lifestyle marketing company currently working with approximately 60 bands including Fall Out Boy, Placebo, Enter Shikari, Pull Tiger Tail, Art Brut, Bonde de Role, Dead Disco, Fightstar, Just Jack, Playground Legend, Robyn, Snoop Dog and Tinchy Strider to name but a few.
