About Me
Hi, I'm Callum Read a now London based acoustic solo artist. I've been around for about a year now and have played with some pretty good acts such as; Luke Pickett, Peter Katz, For the Commonwealth, Lights and Sounds, Dave House, Sam Isaac, Luke Leighfield, Hipfandango, Lost on Landing and loads more!!
My music is pretty personal and i guess that's one reason why i never decided to turn this into a full band sort of thing. ALTHOUGH, I love getting my friends involved, so you will occasionally see me with guest vocalist's and guitarist's. I started writing when i was like 15 because of people like Cash, Oberst and Dylan and haven't really stopped since then. Obviously my influences have picked up on the way but my main influences have always been them!
There's nothing better than my fans. Thats a fact! i fucking love every single one of you, you all are amazing! makes me so happy to find out how much you love my songs or enjoyed watching me at a show. Love you all!

Unfortunatly it looks like my weekend playing Moonfest has been cancelled because Pete Doherty and baby shambles were banned by the police to come and play. Its fucking ridiculous! apparently Pete Doherty insights fights when he is playing and the police recon this could cause riots?!? or something.. well i don't know you can read more about it on NME.com
Im really bummed i couldnt come and play i know a load of you were messaging me saying how much you were looking forward to it but i cant really do anything about it.

I just moved to London on the 21st Sept so come see me out and about at shows and stuff. I am looking to get some London shows booked in for 2009!
