Soul Music. There is no one without the other. Born in Houston, raised in Chicago Gloria Ry’ann has had the gift of song almost since birth. Even her infant coos were in tune. Growing up in a house full of music, Gloria learned at an early age that she wanted to aspire to the legends of the idiom. Aretha, Stevie and Tenna Marie’s stave and their ilk ignited in Gloria the passion of music and the joy of performance. She began lessons as a child with world renowned Lena Mc Lin, and has been making beautiful music ever since.
Blessed with a four octave vocal range, and impressive writing chops, Gloria decided to move to New York and make the dream real. Since then she has racked up quite an impressive resume, working with such artists as Ashford & Simpson, Patti Labelle, Vesta Williams, Glenn Jones, Alyson Williams, Freedie Jackson, Teddy Pendergrass, Carl Thomas and Rhianna. She has appeared around the globe on television (The Today Show, 106th & Park, MTV) and on stage, as a back-up singer and a soloist.
Never one to defer a dream, Gloria has continued to fashion her own music all the while. With timeless music and a sound-soulful and strong, much like the woman herself if right now you are unfamiliar with the name Gloria Ry’ann, don't worry, you won't be for long.
