Kirk Baileys Next Level Band

Kirk was born in Jamacia, Queens NY. He later moved to Cambria Heights, Queens and was taught to play the Tenor Saxophone by the late great Charles "CI" Williams. In the 5th grade at PS 147 in Queens NY, "CI" saw something special in him and took me under his wing. He continued playing in school bands from junior high school through high school. Kirk also started playing in local neighboorhood bands which included a variety of extremly talented musicians. He was President of the Classical and Jazz band at Cardozo High School in Bayside, as well as the captain & MVP of the Varsity basketball team. After High School he attended and graduated Adelphi University in Garden City majoring in Business Management & Music. After college The "Next Level Band" was formed . They had their debut at "The Manhattan Proper" & have been performing ever since. The versatility of each unit is what keeps the band working for so long. The genres go from straight ahead/Smooth Jazz, Old School, Motown, R&B, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Blues, Pop & Rock. "Music is my therapy and life blood. "Making people smile, dance, feel good and forget about all their troubles is the greatest thrill of all". I thank the lord for every breath I take.... and give".
