Far From Close

Far From Close combines thoughtfully simple lyrics with passionate vocals and a contagiously percussive rhythm section, mixing acoustic rock with undertones of jazz, for a truly unique sound. Their music has been described as "poetic and engaging" with "mesmerizing chord progressions and rhythms". Typical live performances include emotive mid-tempo toe- tappers to all out acousta-rock jams that encourage both young and old to get up and move.
Manny Jasus (guitar and vocals) is a singer-songwriter from Concord, NH. With the addition of Tim Ogle (percussion) and Steven Guerrera (bass) in late 2005, the band Far From Close was formed. "Tim is a worship leader and songwriter in his own right, and Steve has been in bands since he was a teenager, so they've been playing music in one form or another for years. The band dynamic is great not only because it really fleshes out the songs, but because each of us brings something different to the overall sound and feel of the music. It's a total group effort."

We truly desire to connect with people through our music wherever they’re at, and encourage them that they’re really not alone in their struggles. It all comes down to love. The love God has for us as broken people, and the love we try to share with others. We truly believe that there’s more to this existence and journey than our circumstances of pain and sorrow, and that hope through faith, can prevail in this life.”
Manny, Tim and Steve have led worship at the River of Grace in Concord, NH as well as other New England churches, and bring the same energy and passion to a Sunday morning as they do to a late night coffeehouse. Whether playing for a full house or a few people, Far From Close is comfortable and at home sharing their songs of faith, hope, and love to all who will listen.
