Myspace Backgrounds
I have officially become an abolitionist for Justice for Children International to help put an end to the child sex trafficking industry. For more info visit their website www.jfci.org and make a desicion to add your voice to this cause.Passionate, powerful, amazing, yet real and relaxed, and very funny in an off-the-cuff way. Those are few descriptions of performances by Bizzy Bender, whose rich voice has been compared to those Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge and Kim Hill. Her repertoire of nearly original 300 songs ranges from poignant stories to truth-filled worship.Bizzy began performing at age of 5, singing Christmas carols at restaurant in her hometown of Manhasset, N.Y. She took up guitar at age 11 and graduated to playing on the streets, in talent shows and at coffeehouses, eventually fronting a three-woman, eight-piece band. All of those experiences shaped the tone and quality of Bizzys sound, but it is her life experiences that have given her the powerful story of a broken woman made whole by Gods unfailing love and grace.Twenty-two years of drug and alcohol addiction brought to her knees, then to God and finally to Jesus. Those many years of pain and ultimate redemption are carved into her songs -- when Bizzy sings the blues, you believe it. And when she sings praises, you believe again.Be ready to be blessed by the warmth and talent of this woman, whose music will make you laugh and cry. You'll feel as if you are hanging out in her livingroom, sharing songs and stories of her life and her faith in the One who rescued her.Bizzy frequently leads worship at churches around Fairfield County, Ct. and is a regular at coffeehouses, theaters and other venues in the area. She also holds a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is an instructor at one of the top 10 martial arts schools in the United States. So if you don't like her music, don't tell her or she'll kick your butt! Just kidding!!
