About Me

The Peter Vantine Studio Orchestra, or PVSO, is simply a vehicle for describing the type of work I do with my own music and music projects for other artists for which I have been hired. This "virtual" ensemble is a combination of sampled and acoustic instruments comprised of software- and hardware-based modules and live performers (who are mostly friends of mine who have put up with my musical explorations for many, many years . . . thank you!).
The PVSO has "virtually" toured the U.S. and abroad by appearing on numerous recording projects, concert events and Film & TV broadcasts. Peter Vantine (that's me) is a composer, producer and music educator in the Boston, MA area. Included here are a few samplings of my original music.
Check out these other MySpace artists who have worked with Peter and the PVSO: Michael Sweet ("My Love, My Life, My Flame", "Together as One", and "Every Hour"), Breezy Premiere ("Paradise"), Ralph Ford ("Highest Praise"), Rich Schroder , McAlister Drive , Shannon Chase , and Denise Cascione .
Other noteworthy projects include:
~ Original score for the 1921 silent film version of "Camille" featured on Turner Classic Movies
~ Programming and engineering for the Emmy-award winning National Geographic Explorer documentary "Surviving Everest"
~ String arrangements and orchestrations for Michael Sweet and Stryper (various projects)
~ Multiple film/tv licensing deals with companies such as Platinum Music (London, England), Rumblefish (Seattle, WA) and Triple Scoop Music (Los Angeles, CA)
~ Peter is also Director of Music at Covenant Christian Academy and Pastor of Music and Worship at Middleton Congregational Church .
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy what you hear. Drop me a note, post a comment or request me as a friend and I will be happy to do the same in return. God bless! -- Peter Vantine
