The slightly cockney voiced, and probably most articulate member of the quartet known as ’Highly Rated’, Beckz is quite simply a character that any listener will find hard to forget.
His unique recording style displays an accurate emphasis on the delivery of thought provoking lines, whilst still maintaining a level of wordplay flow that is above the average. The versatile Beckz’ vocals are not just limited to MCing - his singing ability is additionally one of his well known traits. His stage experience has also seen him participate as a a talent show host, as well as an amatuer actor in various roles.
Building his following mainly through appearances on various pirate and commercial radio stations, the early stages of Beckz’ career saw him become a regular on Mystic FM, arguably the most popular local station in east London at the time. A well known incident during his time there was a clash (also known as an MC Battle) between his then group ’Dark Element’, and rival crew ’Triple B Military’, which contained two of his current friends and now nationally recognised MC’s Napper (from Lethal B’s "POW!" amongst others) and Shizzle (various underground hits including "Hav Sum of Dat", "Represent", and "Swingers"). Since then, the 22 year old Londoner also known as ’Winter’ has been heard on the award winning national stations Choice & Kiss FM. A radio highlight was his feature on colleague Nebulon’s ’Union Jack’ which won ’record of the week’ after its debut 1xtra.
Beckz’ laid back and patient persona often sees him as the ’quiet associate’ of close friend, and more commonly known Highly Rated member, Xploder. A slowly emerging star on the unsigned artist circuit, the story of Beckz so far promises a successful future.
